Payroll Section (Introduction)

The Payroll department in the nerve center for all expenditure bookings being done by the Accountant General Punjab’s office. It performs pre-audit of bills and subsequent reconciliation of expenditure between departments and itself. The Pay rolls sections were established w.e.f. 1985 on disbandment of GAD / DA sections to deal with matters relating to Gazetted and Non Gazetted employees of Punjab Govt. i.e. issuance of Pay slips, LPC, service statement and pre audit of their salaries, contingencies and utility claims, Account matters of various departments are also dealt with in relevant section
